Now Times (“we”, “us”, “the Service”) is a free tool for sharing and converting times across time zones. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don’t do — with your data. The Service is a static website with no backend servers and no user accounts.

1. Meeting details stay in the link
When you create a share link, the meeting details you enter (title, date and time, duration, and the organizer
time zone) are encoded into the part of the URL after the # (the “fragment”). Browsers never send
the fragment to any server, and we have no server to receive it. The recipient’s browser reads the link and
computes the time locally. We do not store, log, or transmit your meeting details.
2. Data stored on your device
For convenience, we use your browser’s localStorage to keep your recently created and viewed links,
your favorite/last-used time zones, and your cookie choice. This data never leaves your device, is not uploaded
to us, and you can remove it at any time using “Clear history”, the per-entry delete button, or by clearing your
browser data.
3. Analytics (home page only, with your consent)
To understand how the home page is used and to improve it, we use two third-party analytics tools — but only after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner, and only on the home page:
- Microsoft Clarity — usage analytics, heatmaps, and session replays. Processed by Microsoft.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate usage statistics. Processed by Google.
These tools may collect information such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location (derived from your
IP address), and device/browser type, and they set cookies. If you decline, they are never loaded. The share
pages (/s) never load analytics, so content you receive in a link is not recorded.
4. Cookies & similar technologies
We do not set any cookies ourselves. The analytics tools above set their own cookies, but only after you accept.
Your consent choice and on-device data described in section 2 are stored in localStorage, not in
cookies. You can change your mind any time by clearing site data, which will show the consent banner again.
5. How we use information
The only information we “use” is the anonymous, aggregate analytics described above, solely to measure and improve the Service. We do not sell, rent, or trade data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
6. Sharing & third parties
Aside from the analytics providers (Microsoft, Google) you consent to, we do not share data with third parties. If you use the “Add to calendar” / “Google Calendar” buttons, you are taken to those third-party services under their own terms. Their handling of your data is governed by their policies, not ours.
7. International transfers
If you accept analytics, Microsoft and Google may process the resulting data on servers outside your country, including the United States, under their respective data-transfer safeguards.
8. Data retention
We hold no personal data on any server, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. On-device data persists until you clear it. Analytics data is retained by Microsoft and Google according to their policies.
9. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data and to opt out of certain processing. In practice:
- You can decline analytics in the cookie banner, or withdraw consent by clearing site data.
- You can delete your on-device history at any time within the app.
- For data held by Microsoft Clarity or Google Analytics, please refer to and use the opt-out and data-rights tools in their own privacy policies.

10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
